Our 'Trexperts' Take The Guesswork Out Of Building With Trex

Lafrance and Campbell, of HGTV’s acclaimed “Decked Out” series, are expert deck builders who use Trex products regularly on their television show and in their individual businesses. Paul also is a member of the TrexPro contractor program. Together, they make up the “Trexperts,” a dynamic decking duo who share expert tips, trends and tricks for designing and building functional and unique outdoor spaces.

About the Trexperts
Paul, most commonly known as the “Deck Guy,” is CEO and Founder of the international design company, Paul Lafrance Design. He is host of HGTV’s “Decked Out,” “Disaster Decks,” “Deck Wars” and “Custom Built,” as well as one of the judges on “Canada’s Handyman Challenge.” Designing and building professionally since 1997, Paul is known for his groundbreaking backyard retreats, infectious energy, quick wit and unapologetic rock star style.
Kate got into building and renovation in 2005 after taking a “Women in Skilled Trades” course, which introduced her to carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and other trades. She now runs her own renovation company, Kate’s Contracting Inc., which specializes in small renovations and custom carpentry. She has worked in television for more than five years as part of the crew for “Holmes on Homes,” “Holmes in New Orleans,” “Holmes Inspection” and, most recently, alongside Lafrance on “Decked Out,” “Deck Wars” and “Custom Built.”
