WINCHESTER, Va., March 6, 2012 – Trex earned first-place rankings across multiple categories in installer magazine’s 2012 Brand Use Study.
Proving the power of the Trex brand, the world’s leading manufacturer of wood alternative decking and railing was named number one in “brand familiarity,” “brand used the most,” and “brand used in the past two years” in the composite/PVC decking category. Trex also captured high marks for “quality” with both its decking and exterior trim products.
“The results of the installer study once again prove that Trex is by far the brand of choice among installers and contractors, who count on our products for their superior combination of high-performance, innovation and aesthetics,” said Ronald W. Kaplan, chairman, president and CEO of Trex. “It’s always rewarding to have our products recognised, but it’s especially meaningful to know that our valued professional partners again and again trust Trex over all other decking brands for their outdoor living projects.”
Trex consistently captures the top spot in the major brand categories of the annual installer magazine study. During each of the past five years, Trex has secured first place in the “brand familiarity,” “brand used the most” and “brand used in the past two years” categories. In addition, Trex’s first-place lead in all three of these categories has continued to grow year-over-year.
The 2012 Brand Use Study conducted by Hanley Wood Publishing and Readex Research, an independent research company, surveys more than 10,000 readers of installer magazine on materials across 80 product categories. The full study will be published in the April 2012 issue of installer.
