There are a number of ways to light your deck at night. The first would be simply to plug your transformer into your outlet. If you’re looking for a more hands-free approach – use the photocell timer provided with your transformer. This photocell timer has multiple options including setting your lights to illuminate from dusk until dawn, or to be on for two, four, or up to 10 hours. Another way to light your deck at night would be to use our WiFi Controller. The new WiFi Controller allows you to control from anywhere up to 60 watts of LED lights.
Deck light height will depend on which light you are installing and your height preference. We do not have set requirements for light placement.
The cost of adding Trex deck lights varies depending upon which lights are being installed or how many. For specific pricing, check with your local merchant. Wiring, splitters, transformers and timers will add to the cost.
Deck lighting is 100% worth it. You’re increasing your usable time on the deck by opening yourself up to outdoor living at night. In addition, our lights come with a seven-year warranty while the transformer/timer is warrantied for three years.
